Project Manager/Civil Engineer - Land Development

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Civil Engineer to support our current land development projects and help build the Land Development Business Line. Once hired, you will be working from our Newmarket Office located at 17665 Leslie Street, Newmarket.

Under this role, you'll be leading the planning and design of land development (commercial/residential subdivision) projects across the Greater Toronto Area as well as supporting the delivery of municipal/regional projects. You will have a key focus on successful project delivery and support the mentoring and coaching of junior staff in the team.

What will you bring?

  •   A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering and successful delivery of land development (commercial/residential subdivision) projects across the Greater Toronto Area
  •   Business development experience combined with engineering and project management experience will be an added advantage
  •   Water resource engineering experience will be added advantageous
  •   Ability to use Civil 3D or Inroads software for problem solving will be added advantage
  •   Project management experience, with a drive to go above and beyond our clients' expectations
  •   Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Intermediate CAD Designer - Water and wastewater/Land Development

Job description

We are currently searching for a dedicated Civil CAD Designer to support our water and wastewater and land development projects. An innovative thinker, the Civil CAD Designer will work with a creative, dynamic team of Engineers, Designers and Project Managers and will have a direct impact on the successful delivery of some of the key projects in the Greater Toronto Area. The successful candidate should be familiar and possess a keen interest in civil engineering practices as well as the linear infrastructure (watermains, sewers, forcemains).

Responsibilities

  •   Civil design and drafting for plan and profiles, site plans, servicing and grading
  •   Drafting of chambers, internal pipes, valves and utilities
  •   Strict adherence to company and client drafting standards
  •   Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information on project documentation produced in accordance with QA/QC procedures
  •   Take direction from Engineers and Senior Designers
  •   Efficiently and effectively handle multiple tasks independently
  •   Coordination with other disciplines will be required on most projects.
  •   Provide mentorship in civil design and drafting to junior staff as required
  •   Assist in site inspections, measurements and reporting
  •   Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  •   Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
  •   Thorough knowledge and work history with AutoCAD including Civil 3D.
  •   A solid foundation with civil engineering principles (i.e. hydraulics, statics).
  •   Ability to work with geomatic and survey data to create base files, ground profiles and site plans.
  •   Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  •   Skills Microstation and InRoads would be advantageous

Intermediate Civil Engineer - Water and Wastewater

Job description

We have exciting opportunities for ambitious civil engineers with 5 years of local experience in designing and administration of water and wastewater projects inluding watermains, sewers, treatment facilities, storage facilities and other related municipal infrastructure.

In these positions, you'll be leading the planning and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, supporting the delivery of local government projects across the Greater Toronto Area, as well as working closely with our internal teams on large commercial/residential subdivision projects. You will have a key focus on successful project delivery and support the mentoring and coaching of junior staff in the team.

What will you bring?

  •   A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering projects (experience in wastewater and water transmisison and distribution networks would be advantageous)
  •   Hydraulic modelling experience (InfoWater, InfoSewer, Hammer) software will be advantageous
  •   Trenchless designs of watermains/sewers (micro-tunnelling, HDD, pipe rehabilitation) will be advantageous
  •   Strong stormwater drainage design skills and an ability to use Civil 3D software
  •   Project management experience, with a drive to go above and beyond our clients' expectations
  •   Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  •   A team player with a positive attitude.
